The NHS is looking for a new CIO following the vacancy left after Katie Davis stepped down as managing director for NHS Informatics at the Department for Health in July.
Katie Davis had been in the role for about a year after Christine Connelly stepped down as NHS CIO.
Tim Kelsey, NHS National Director for Patients and Information, tweeted the job advertisement: "First class leader sought to be chief information officer of the new NHS. Lead patient revolution," said the tweet.
In May Tim Kelsey stepped down from the role of Cabinet Office's transparency czar to become national director for patients and information at the NHS Commissioning Board Authority.
Among other things, the job advert reads: "The post holder will act as deputy for the National Director for Patients & Information.
"The post will lead on delivering NHS information services for other partner organisations."
