According to local reports, an oil container at Chicago-based National Processing Company caught fire Friday morning. Firefighters put out the blaze and reported no injuries.

The fire alarm was quickly elevated to a still-and-box alarm with a Level 1 hazardous materials response, with firefighters using foam as well as water to battle flames. Chicago Fire Department Chief Juan Hernandez said the fire started in an oil container and “self-vented” through holes in the roof possibly created by small explosions.

Workers were inside the plant at the time of the fire, but no injuries were reported.

The fire was extinguished by 5:15 a.m.
